Jim Whittington

Jim Whittington is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President in Dimensional’s London office. Jim is a senior member of the London Portfolio Management team and has extensive experience managing developed and emerging markets equity portfolios. He also serves on Dimensional’s Investment Stewardship Committee.

Prior to his current role, Jim was Dimensional’s Head of Responsible Investment. In this role, he led the firm’s global efforts to innovate in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) space, coordinating cross-departmental efforts to implement ESG strategy across corporate and investment initiatives.

Prior to joining Dimensional, Jim spent several years working within the sphere of equity derivatives. He held a variety of roles in London and Hong Kong—including risk system developer, exotic derivatives trader, and manager—at ABN AMRO, J.P. Morgan, and Merrill Lynch. Jim received a BA with honours in theology from the University of Oxford and an MBA from China Europe International Business School in Shanghai.
